MEET THE CRITICS
Nate
"The Glue Guy"
Hailing from the small farm town of Bickleton, Washington, with stops in Southern California and Central Oregon after graduating from Washington State University, I have lived my whole life on the West Coast. Hobbies are all things sports-related, from avidly watching basketball and football to actively engaging in basketball and golf. As a huge Portland Trail Blazers, Seattle Mariners, Washington State University sports fan, it has largely been a tortured sports fan experience, but hey, next year is our year!
If I could be reincartned as an animal of my choosing, it has to be something with the ability to fly. Now, the biggest fear of flying comes with someone shooting at you, so I am going with the Bald Eagle, apex predator and a protected bird in the great US of A.
Ending up on a deserted island with only three movies is difficult; you have to really factor in the rewatchability. Dazed and Confused (iconic soundtrack, all time quotability), Fast and Furious 5 (I will contend is the greatest movie ever made), and The Dark Knight (gotta fill the drama void) make the cut for me.
The decisions do not get easier as we move into music, a good variety is essential. "Rumors" by Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks will never go out of style), Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged album (All Time Performance from the Iconic Band), and “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems” (The island vibes I need) by Kenny Chesney.
For video games, "Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock" (grew up playing it and it rocks just as hard today), the newest "NBA 2K" game, and "Red Dead Redemption" will accompany me.
Instituting an executive order of my choosing would be exciting, several ideas instantly come to mind. However, I am going to look out for the masses here. I am banning conference re-alignment in college sports and am putting Nick Saban in as college football commissioner. College sports was my favorite thing in the world not long ago and I believe we can get back to where we were!
Jack
"The Ex Reality TV Show Guy"
What's up gang, my name's Jack and I'm from Boston. Unless you're from Massachusetts, in which case, I'm from Cape Cod (don't tell anybody). Hobbies include fashion and egg-tossing.
If I were to be reincarnated as an animal, I would be the Muad'Dib - the kangaroo mouse. The Muad'Dib is wise in the ways of the desert. Muad'Dib creates his own water. Muad'Dib hides from the sun and travels in the cool night. All of these qualities I also possess.
Speaking of the desert-I would ultimately like to end up trapped on a deserted island (I'm applying for the next season of Survivor); however, if I were to be trapped without Jeff probst and a camera crew, these are the items I would bring along.
Three Movies: Team America: World Police (for the lol's), Princess Mononoke (for the feels), and There Will be Blood (for the insatiable drive to succeed).
Three Albums: America Location 12 - Dispatch | Man on the Moon Pt. II - Kid Cudi | Experience the AI Bairre Show with Al Bairre Experience - Al Bairre
Three Video Games: Kingdom Hearts, Elden Ring, Guitar Hero II.
As my first executive order as President of the United States, I would pardon Young Thug.
Mad Max
"The Union Man"
What's happening everyone, I am proudly from Massachusetts and some of my favorite things to do are skateboard and follow Boston sports. I support all the teams but follow the B's, C's, and Pat's the closest.
If I could be reincarnated as any animal it would be a bobcat. Bobcats are athletic freaks and solitary hunters that routinely hunt above their weight class, similarly to me. Overall, I just think they are badass and I'd like to come back as one, that or a red tailed hawk.
Things that I will bring with me to this deserted island.
Three Movies: Dances with Wolves, Tommy Boy, and The Mummy.
Three Non-Greatest Hits Music Albums: Only for Dolphins by Action Bronson | Power, Corruption and Lies by New Order | Appetite for Destruction by Guns N Roses.
Two Video Games: Sly Cooper and Thievius Raccoons and Warzone Season One.
My first Executive Order as President of the United States of America would be to make the Monday after the Super Bowl a Federal Holiday. People want to travel and watch the game with their friends and families, make it happen Washington!
Dylon
"The Sailor"
Dylon here, born in Idaho but claiming Washington isn't such a proud thing to say nowadays, but hey, life throws you wrenches in any form. Shoot! Six days after high school graduation, I was given a license to kill and a bald head. If you didn't get that, I enlisted in the US Navy at the beginning of my senior year. In those 5 years, the Navy took me to Japan, and while stationed there, I visited a handful of other Asian countries. After that, they sent me to the west of the Cascades for the first time in my life: Everett, WA. I finished my contract in southern California and didn't waste any time getting out of there on June 31st, 2021.
If I had a choice to pick a decade in which I would live my prime teens and early twenties in, with no doubt, the 1970s. Hands down, the best American-made vehicles were built, some of the greatest music was made—Eagles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, and the list goes on! Plus, our food wasn't poisoned by the government, so we didn't have to worry about what we ate. Seriously, what a time to be alive! I mean, I own my dream truck, which is a 1977 F250 Highboy, and I collect coolers from that era for my brewskis. What more can a guy ask for?
I would say I'm a somewhat average dude, growing up playing bass and having a passion for music, loving basketball since '07—the year before our beloved Sonics were sold to Oklahoma—and finding the appreciation and love for film while watching pirated movies on a 2TB hard drive.
No matter what my religious beliefs are, political opinions are, or my basketball Mt. Rushmore is, I'm going to try to give y'all my best opinions on any subject I find interest in. I hope you find entertainment in it because I believe that's what we all look for when we glue our eyes to our phones.
Thank you for your time. With that said, I'll leave you with this:
“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”
